Where its big sister is built for a crowd, Moro Mykonos is an intimate three-bedroom retreat that sleeps six. It suits families, couples travelling together or small groups of friends. The home has been fully renovated, with a brand-new kitchen and bathroom, and reimagined as a whitewashed, sun-filled island hideaway.

Inside, the home is light and relaxed, with a palette of crisp white, natural timber and soft ocean blues. The living room gathers around a slow-combustion wood fire, with reverse-cycle air conditioning for the warmer months, and ceiling fans keep the bedrooms cool and comfortable. The dining table seats the whole group, and three bar stools line the new kitchen island so whoever’s cooking is never left out of the conversation.
Outdoor living is at the heart of Moro Mykonos. A servery hatch opens from the kitchen straight onto the deck, so meals and drinks pass directly outside. Long lunches and barbecue dinners flow easily between indoors and out. The main alfresco deck has a fluted oval dining table with bench seating. The side deck offers a round table with woven rope chairs and a pair of sculptural lounge chairs for morning coffee or a sunset glass of local wine.
Surrounded by native bushland, the home is a place where kangaroos are often seen at dawn and dusk.
